Perform all position welding on a diversified line of standard weldments and structures in accordance with code certifications, alignments, dimensional and general inspection requirements. This position requires welding of steel products and familiarity with MIG welding process. Will receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for the job. Will organize and plan operational duties for the shift he/she is assigned. Will be required to set-up, operate, program, and trouble shoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) of other robotics pieces of equipment in the welding process to achieve acceptable levels in productivity, and quality. Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance or his/her supervisor. Measures devices and gauges to determine thickness and size of metal. Operators will continually visually inspect product, record production as required, report/record scrap, and other various duties or rework as assigned. Operators will be required to make routine equipment adjustments to ensure the process is always efficient and welding to company standards. Will be required to manually repair, or hand weld some products that are below standard, due to tolerance variables during the Robotic operations. Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order. KYMONI It’s challenging, but that’s a good thing if that makes sense, because there’s a lot going on. You’re not just doing one thing, you’re doing several things at one time. And then I went to school and then came back and closed the store, like from five to ten pm. And there is always an available store, if I was to move state to state in a transfer. TERRY Checking in merchandise, bringing it to the floor, assisting other associates, shipping out. MATT You have to be willing to work independently. You have to be willing to work quickly. If you stay busy and keep working, you’ll notice that the nights and things go by as fast as possible. TERRY It is tough. You do lift a lot. I walk over ten thousand steps a day. I got my stepper, but it’s good when you punch out and you go home and you feel really good about the job that you did for the day. JARED This is my second job. They have been very good about working with me. There’s sometimes where I’ve been able to take nights off, but work a little bit longer on another night. So they’ve been very flexible.
