Position Summary Responsible for preparing students to graduate and enter the workforce. This position also verifies all graduate employment information for compliance and reporting reasons and tracks graduates to maintain communication with them. As Career Services Advisor, is responsible for assisting students in locating part-time positions while attending school and maintaining the Technical Resource Center. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Updates and maintains the Employment database, documentation, reports and student records in accordance with company policies and accreditation requirements.</li> <li>Provides communication to students regarding employment activities and opportunities.</li> <li>Assists the Director in conducting periodic follow-up reports to determine employment success of graduates and employers' satisfaction with the quality of education.</li> <li>Researches opportunities for current students and alumni by accessing local job search web sites, newspapers, state and local employment agencies and other creative means.</li> <li>Maintains department files, supplies and other sources of information or items on record.</li> <li>Maintains all employment verification records supporting student placements.</li> <li>Collects and maintains complete and current documentation of daily activities (i.e., student records, placement database and placement waivers).</li> <li>Assist unemployed students with part-time employment, while attending school.</li> <li>Participate in public relations forums to promote the reputation and services of the school (i.e. job fairs, open houses, guest speakers, graduate job visits, etc.).</li> <li>Assist students to develop employment goals, prepare resumes and interviewing skills.</li> <li>Prepare students for the realistic working world through proper advisory.</li> <li>Maintain individual weekly and monthly accreditation verification goals.</li> <li>Provide employment assistance to students and graduates according to school policies, and federal and state regulations.</li> <li>Researches opportunities for current students and alumni by accessing both locally and nationally job search web sites, newspapers, state and local employment agencies and other creative means.</li> <li>Work effectively and collaboratively to achieve student placement goals.</li> <li>Monitor and track job order status until they are closed.</li> <li>Assist Director with planning Program Advisor Board meetings.</li> <li>Mandatory attendance at semi-annual graduation.</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications <ul> <li>Associates degree preferred, but not required</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making</li> <li>Maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach potential students</li> <li>Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities</li> </ul> Why should you apply? <ul> <li>Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision (with Company paid employee only dental &amp; vision option) plus access to virtual doctor’s visits</li> <li>Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account options</li> <li>401(k) Employer Match</li> <li>Short- &amp; Long-Term Disability – Company Paid</li> <li>Basic Life Insurance – Company Paid</li> <li>12 Paid Holidays</li> <li>Your Birthday off – Company Paid</li> <li>2 weeks PTO – 1st yr.</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> <li>Employee referral bonus program</li> <li>Headspace membership – Company Paid</li> <li>Marquee Health Well-Being Program – Company Paid</li> <li>Pet Insurance, Accident Insurance, and other optional insurance plans</li> </ul> StrataTech Education - Core Values At StrataTech, we are zealous advocates of positive and sustainable life change through skilled trades education.
