At a Glance: The Financial Reporting Analyst, Senior reports to the External Reporting Manager and is responsible for assisting with the company’s external financial reporting activities and providing technical accounting assistance. Location: Tulsa, OK Work Type: Hybrid; 3 days in office out of Tulsa Headquarters #LI-Hybrid What you will do: <ul> <li>Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including MD&amp;A, utilizing the Wdesk platform</li> <li>Assist with audit questions and prepare audit information requests</li> <li>Prepare tie-out packages of external and internal reports</li> <li>Assist with SOX 404 compliance activities and fields internal and external audit requests</li> <li>Act as a technical accounting resource for the company by assisting with researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during the quarter</li> <li>Provide technical accounting assistance with special projects</li> <li>Prepare technical accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactions</li> <li>Other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned</li> <li>Demonstrate the H&amp;P Company values: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, Teamwork and Do the Right Thing</li> </ul> What you need: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting</li> <li>CPA or CPA candidate</li> <li>3 - 4+ years of accounting experience</li> <li>Strong analytical skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills</li> <li>Ability to develop written communications appropriate for external and internal audiences</li> <li>Ability to analyze and interpret accounting information</li> <li>Excellent computer skills and able to effectively work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment</li> <li>Candidate must be self-motivated, take the initiative to accomplish work and take ownership of projects assigned</li> </ul> Not a must, but a plus <ul> <li>Experience working with Wdesk</li> <li>3+ years of experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm strongly preferred</li> <li>Experience in the oil field service industry strongly preferred</li> <li>Knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle preferred</li> </ul> What we offer: At H&amp;P, our commitment to our people is at the forefront, and that includes benefits that provide employees a sense of health and financial security.
