From supporting new product development to leading continuous improvement initiatives, this role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing multiple facets of engineering processes while collaborating effectively with various teams. #LI-CH1 <h2>A Day In The Life</h2> <ul> <li>Create or modify CAD Models, Drawings, Costing, BOM/Routers and Specifications for HGUS product</li> <li>Manage engineering changes and requests for deviations.</li> <li>Conduct technical evaluations of new and existing products</li> <li>Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager, Product Managers, Production personnel and Director of Engineering in sustainment of New and existing product lines</li> <li>Manage engineering projects such as creation of new SKU’s and configurations </li> <li>Troubleshoot and provide failure analysis on defective materials</li> <li>Engage in product enhancement projects to meet internal standards and customer needs.</li> <li>Work with customers through sales or directly to clarify specifications and provide technical solutions, quotations, and presentations.</li> <li>Lead and collaborate on engineering projects related to the life cycle of our products</li> <li>Participate in industry groups like AGA, PPI, ASTM, and others related to Natural Gas Products.</li> <li>Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.</li> <li>Provide both pre-sale technical presentations and post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Assist team members and contribute to other tasks as needed.</li> <li>Interpret customer specifications and applications and provide solutions, quotations, and presentations.</li> </ul> <h2>What will help you thrive in this role?</h2> <ul> <li>CAD/SolidWorks experience in 2d and 3d including PDM vault and must be able to create and manipulate models and drawings </li> <li>Must have a minimum of 3 years in engineering, drafting and product development</li> <li>Proven track record successfully managing multiple projects at the same</li> <li>BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), or Manufacturing Engineering </li> <li>Project Manager experience is a plus </li> <li>Must be a good team player, with experience working with cross functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, operations, etc)</li> <li>Solid team player who works for advancement of team results, not self-promotion.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent skills in both written and oral communication </li> <li>Strengths in interpersonal skills a plus </li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li> <li>Must possess strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft office, excel, word, outlook, etc…)</li> <li>Must be results oriented, with strong motivation to succeed.</li> <li>Must have proven ability to meet project objectives and time lines.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft project or other project management software a plus</li> <li>Travel may be required but no more than about 25%</li> </ul> Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
