The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&amp;A) team is responsible for facilitating corporate-level decision making at Blackbaud, guiding company-wide financial planning, and scaling new and existing financial processes. Responsibilities include the preparation and management of the estimated and extension process, developing responses to tax notices and tax audits, and calculation of the tax provision to return.What You'll Do:<ul> <li>Assist with aspects of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, including: </li> <li>Calculating the year-end U.S. income tax provision and updating it using CorpTax </li> <li>Calculating global interim effective tax rates. </li> <li>Composing income tax disclosures for U.S. reports. </li> <li>Preparing uncertain tax positions and developing documentation to support income tax positions taken for financial statement purposes and liabilities recorded for uncertain tax positions. </li> <li>Preparing Return-to-provision calculations. </li> <li>Preparing tax reconciliations and analysis of tax general ledger accounts. </li> <li>Assist with portions of the U.S. tax provision related to international components, including GILTI, BEAT, and FTC calculations. </li> <li>Prepare the federal and state tax returns using CorpTax, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments, and tax withholdings, ensuring audit-ready documentation is maintained for all tax filings. </li> <li>Analyze the facts and circumstances of significant book transactions and determine applicable tax treatment in accordance with the relevant tax authority. </li> <li>Coordinate and manage the Federal and State income tax calendars, estimated tax payments, and quarterly reporting of cash taxes. </li> <li>Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance, including the use of technology-enabled solutions. </li> <li>Work with the RDO group to complete and document the Research &amp; Development Tax Credit. </li> <li>Monitor the transfer pricing policy and procedures, including gathering data to comply with transfer pricing agreements and BEPS. </li> <li>Perform tax research and prepare memos on a variety of federal, state, and international issues related to corporations. </li> <li>Work with the team to develop and implement tax strategies to minimize foreign, federal, and state tax expense. </li> <li>Support all federal and state income tax audits, including gathering the requested data, summarizing the company’s tax positions, and appealing tax authority decisions as necessary. </li> <li>Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments, document the impacts on the company, and make recommendations to the Senior Tax Manager. </li> <li>Develop contacts and work as a tax department liaison with finance, legal, and business operations. </li> <li>Perform SOX compliance procedures and coordinate with internal audit. </li> <li>Perform due diligence activities related to M&amp;A, including purchase price allocation and tax goodwill calculations. </li> </ul>What You'll Bring:<ul> <li>4-6 years of working experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department (including tax compliance and provision).</li> <li>Experience with ASC 740 provisioning preferred.</li> <li>Sound experience in federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, tax preparation software (CorpTax), and tax research tools.</li> <li>Experience with US – GAAP Reporting requirements preferred.</li> <li>Proficiency in using tax software and technology-enabled solutions for tax reporting and compliance preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures and internal audit coordination preferred.</li> </ul>#LI-REMOTEStay up to date on everything Blackbaud, follow us on <a href="http://bit.ly/FollowUsLI" target="_blank">Linkedin</a>, <a href="http://bit.ly/2xn65ez" target="_blank">Twitter</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/blackbaud/" target="_blank">Instagram</a>, <a href="http://bit.ly/2yNWNJH" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and <a href="https://bit.ly/BLKBYouTube" target="_blank">YouTube ​</a>Blackbaud is a remote-first company which embraces a flexible remote work culture.
