MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>All responsibilities expected of the Assistant Superintendent</li> <li>Implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies</li> <li>Participates and executes roles to help create an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring of others</li> <li>Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force</li> <li>Review and approve Trade Contractor Pay Applications and material invoices with the Project Manager</li> <li>Develop and maintain a site logistics plan in coordination with the Project Manager</li> <li>Manage quality program</li> <li>Coordinate site testing and inspection reports</li> <li>Monitor costs, including labor time and material</li> <li>Manage self-perform features of work</li> <li>Manage the CPM schedule and look ahead schedules</li> <li>Development/coordinate/execute Safety, Hazcom, SWPPP, QA/QC plan, etc</li> <li>Attend and lead portions of, if not all of project meetings, including but not limited to preconstruction, preinstallation, subcontractor, owner, and safety in coordination with the Project Manager </li> <li>Create daily reports and report quantities</li> <li>Assist with the Preconstruction/Estimating phase of a project</li> <li>Mobilizes the site and set up utilities</li> <li>Assures necessary permits are secured, and inspections occur</li> <li>Reviews and verifies RFIs</li> <li>Reviews and approves submittals for processing</li> <li>Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> JOB SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES GUIDELINES: <ul> <li>Commitment to a culture of safety</li> <li>Exhibits personality traits common to The Way We Work</li> <li>Exhibits a good understanding of the industry</li> <li>Exhibits a good understanding of QA/QC</li> <li>Basic understanding of MEP systems</li> <li>Exhibits the ability to read and develop a project schedule</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Functions effectively as a member of a team</li> <li>Exhibits good leadership skills</li> <li>Strong and proactive decision-making/problem-solving skills</li> <li>Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products</li> <li>Excellent time management and organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to review and understand submittals and shop drawings</li> <li>Proficiency in writing and processing RFIs, document revisions, and recognizing changes of scope and need for pricing</li> <li>Able to effectively lead teams through projects of lesser complexity</li> </ul> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
