Job Posting End Date06-19-2025Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date.Job Summary The T-Line Engineer Assc- Engineer is responsible to the assigned manager for performing engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do<ul> <li>Engineering and design work related to transmission line design including engineering analysis and design, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, project and construction management.</li> <li>Prepare project construction documents including plan and profile drawings; design drawings; engineering, material and construction specifications; project schedules and bills of material.</li> <li>Communicate effectively verbally and written to facilitate on schedule and on budget project performance.</li> <li> Develop transmission line designs and cost estimates for proposed projects.</li> <li>Work effectively with internal and external customers, government and regulatory agencies and contractors to secure permits, refine design alternatives and other liaison activities to bring project to completion.</li> <li>Conduct bid and construction meetings as needed. Work with Project Management, Substation design, Distribution, Supply Chain and Right of Way as needed.</li> </ul> Culture, Leadership, and Organization:<ul> <li>Take opportunities for leadership roles in the Transmission Line Engineering organization such as Subject Matter Expert, Regional Compliance Lead, etc.</li> <li>Initiate team building exercises and build the Energy Delivery work culture and lead safety initiatives.</li> <li>Supervise and review work of outside engineering consultants as needed.</li> <li>Provide leadership and training of personnel as requested.</li> <li>Participate in the development of plans establishing measurable goals, objectives, and requirements relative to specific area of responsibility.</li> </ul>​ Technical Expertise:<ul> <li>Transmission line design experience in PLS-CADD is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and construction techniques are desired.</li> <li>Prior experience in structural design, foundation design and/or surveying preferred. Competence with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD desired.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
