QA Lead Engineer:

The QA Lead Engineer is responsible for building out our Quality Assurance function within our company's agile Kanban environment, improving our automation framework in support of CI/CD best practices, leading other QA Engineers, and working closely with Software Engineering to build and implement automated testing strategies.. Proven software development/engineering and testing automation skills are required.

Location: this is a remote/hybrid role based in Tulsa, OK.

What you’ve done:

  • 5+ years IT QA experience (preferably a mix of leadership, strategy, planning & execution)
  • Implemented and executed multiple forms of software testing throughout the entire SDLC, such as regression, functional, unit, black-box, white box, UAT, usability, and performance testing.
  • Technical self-starter and self-directed
  • Deep experience with one or more programming or scripting languages in either a development or QA capacity
  • Experience with Git version control and bug tracking software such as Jira
  • Hands on experience with automated testing tools (eg., Cypress, Selenium, Espresso, etc)

As a QA Lead, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the QA team, including processes and tools
  • Developing and executing QA strategy & continuous improvement activities (technical & operational)
  • Developing and implementing the testing automation strategy, test data management strategy, and test automation framework architecture
  • Identifying, documenting, escalating, and tracking quality issues and defects to resolution
  • Working in a very team-oriented technical environment
  • Partnering with various teams to establish and enforce testing and QA best practices
  • Software Development and Testing tools- Managing license renewals/growth, establishing and leading internal user groups with key tools users, developing roadmap strategy and coordinating user training.
  • Implementing measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiencies and the overall quality of the service providers and their testing delivery
  • Making improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing
  • Write, debug, and execute code used in automated testing efforts
  • When software defects are discovered in our company's platform, debug those defects with our software engineering team
  • Coordinate regression test automation activities across supported applications
  • Define, implement, and manage processes and “best practices” with regard to automated testing
  • Establish processes to continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites
  • Provide metrics on business process and code coverage for automated test suites
  • Present test results to stakeholders
  • Partner with R&D and other engineers to build the tools and infrastructure to ensure production code is thoroughly tested to the highest standards
  • Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed QA products
