The Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency within our R&D Operations by developing and implementing automation solutions across various processes. What you'll do:

  • Automation of Processes: Design and implement automation solutions for software development, release, Finance requests, and strategic planning processes. Automate routine tasks to increase efficiency and accuracy across operations using systems like Workday, Google Docs/Sheets, and Slack. .

  • JIRA and Confluence Integration Support: Oversee and optimize JIRA and Confluence integrations, maintaining, troubleshooting, and customizing workflows to meet the operational needs of various stakeholders..

  • Contract Management Support: Work closely with the contract management team to automate and refine contract administration processes in systems like Workday, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with IT, development teams, and other operational units to identify automation opportunities and integrate solutions that enhance productivity, including the use of Slack for streamlined communication.

  • Project Management: Manage projects related to automation initiatives, from conception through to execution, ensuring they align with strategic business objectives and are delivered within scope and budget.

  • Training and Support: Educate and support team members on new automation tools and processes, fostering a culture of technological adaptability and continuous learning.

  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of automated processes, making adjustments based on data-driven insights.

  • CI/CD and Source Code Management: Identify opportunities to integrate and optimize our CI/CD pipelines and GitHub repositories to facilitate efficient software deployments. Ensure continuous improvement of processes by aligning with best practices in version control and code management.

What you'll need:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a role focused on automation, system administration, or a similar field within a tech-driven environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of JIRA or similar project management tools; Strong experience with scripting and automation frameworks such as Python, Zapier, and Workato.

  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and an understanding of system architecture fundamentals.

  • Self-Starter and Independent Work Ethic: Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work autonomously, making informed decisions and driving projects forward without constant oversight. Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment, prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security protocols and compliance requirements relevant to R&D operations.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

  • Adaptability: Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment, responding to and managing change effectively.

  • Product Development Lifecycle Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), including CI/CD and deployment pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $105,000 USD - $150,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
