Job Summary

Under general supervision manages and oversees funds related to Opioid abatement grants and settlement funds by performing the following duties:

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Generates proposals and supporting documents in response to Opioid abatement grant opportunities.
  • Manages and oversees settlement and grant funding to projects related to Opioid abatement grants and settlement funds awards.
  • Research grant opportunities and writes grants as requested from BOCC.
  • Monitors paperwork and other related documents connected with opioid abatement grant-funded, and settlement funded programs.
  • Provides detailed reports to BOCC regarding progress of the distribution and tracking of funds for Opioid settlement or grant funding.
  • Tracks County resources and auditing programs that are Opioid abatement grant and settlement funded.
  • Liaison with the County and other community agencies for Opioid settlement distribution.
  • Maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge in compliance monitoring; program reviews; resources management; policies, practices, procedures, and legal terminology related to government regulations and laws; federal, state, and local applicable laws, rules, and regulations; granting standards and procedures; budget preparation, office management, and preparing business correspondence and reports; grant writing process. Knowledge of MS Office, Excel and reporting required.

Ability to work with individuals from different entities, manage and execute multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner; effectively communicate information, both orally and in writing, and respond to questions from employees, participating entities and the general public; write effective business correspondence, reports, and analyses; complete projects on time and within budget; to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.

Written and oral communication skills; knowledge of government, legislative actions and how they impact the business community; and interpersonal relationship skills.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of MS Office, Excel and reporting required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and five years of experience in Business Management, Grants, Finance, or Auditing; or combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
